To honor his late mother, Todd Bol built a miniature one-room school house, placed it outside, and filled it with books, inviting his neighbors to "Take a book, leave a book." And thus the Little Free Library was born. There are now nearly 3,000 little free libraries registered on his site in various locations around the country. Read all about it in the LA Times article:
