Zebra has organized a nice alphabet book. It starts well: A is for apple, b is for ball, c is for cat. But then Moose interrupts, inserting himself into the D slot (pushing Duck off the stage). When Zebra tells him he’s on the wrong page, Moose can barely contain his excitement, asking constantly, “is it my turn yet?” When his moment finally arrives, he is dismayed to see that M is for mouse. After a temper tantrum that totally wipes out O, P, Q, he hijacks the rest of the alphabet. A totally new take on one of the most basic of picture book concepts. It’s so, so funny. Kids will love it. And there are so many ways to involve young readers. Can they tell what letters of the alphabet are missing?
